How it works

How Manufacturing Control Works With Us

You keep your factory and your purchase order. We put a person on the floor at the points where a problem is still a correction, keep the factory talking in Vietnamese between visits and report to you in English. The goods, the payment to the factory and the supplier relationship stay yours.

Three ways to get eyes on your run

Fly someone in, hire locally, or book us

All three work. The question is what the order can carry and what happens between orders.

Typical characteristics, not a cost comparison. For year-round volume at one site, a local hire may be the better answer; we say so on the call.

The five steps

From brief to shipment sign-off

Every step produces a document you can act on without a call: a scope, an audit report, visit reports, an inspection report, a loading report.

  1. Brief and scope

Free 30-minute call. Factory, product, volume, risk points. Scope, milestones and AQL agreed in the contract.

  2. Factory audit

One-time on-site audit of facility, equipment, QC system and document trail. Photo-documented report within 5 working days.

  3. Production monitoring

Pre-production review, first article, in-line visits at agreed milestones. Daily factory contact in Vietnamese, weekly status in English.

  4. Pre-shipment QC

AQL sampling inspection to ISO 2859-1 before loading. Pass, fail or hold with photos and a defect log, within 24 business hours of the visit.

  5. Shipment sign-off

Loading supervision, packing list check, container and seal photos, bill of lading cross-check. You release payment with the facts.

The contract

Scope, visits, reporting and fee, in one contract

Each engagement is set out in a written contract: which visits, which milestones, what is reported and when, and the fee. Nothing on this site is a price; the contract is.

We work for the buyer only. That is why a report that says "fail" is safe for us to write, and why it is worth reading.

What we will not do

  • Own or part-own a factory we inspect.
  • Work for a factory, or accept anything from one.
  • Soften a report to keep a relationship warm.
  • Hold or route your payment to the factory.
  • Contact a factory you have not introduced us to.
  • Claim certifications, client counts or inspector numbers we cannot show you.
FAQ

Questions about the way we work

Do I have to buy the full program?

No. The audit, a single in-line visit and a pre-shipment inspection are each available on their own as a spot inspection. Order control bundles them for the life of a PO, but you can start with one visit.

What if the factory refuses a visit?

That is a finding in itself. We tell you the same day. Most factories accept a buyer’s named representative with a few days’ notice; a refusal usually means a subcontractor or a schedule problem they do not want seen.

Do you stop the line if you find a problem?

No. We document, raise it with the factory in Vietnamese and report to you with photos the same day. Decisions to rework, hold or release stay with you. We carry them out with the factory once you decide.

Who is liable if a defect is missed?

Our reports record what was seen on the day, on the sample inspected, and we stand behind that. We are not an insurer of the factory’s output. Scope, sampling and liability are set in the contract before the first visit.
